WHO?
SIB (Skisser i Bevegelse) is a dancing habitus — an artistic platform rooted in embodied practice, where dance artists meet, move, think and explore and evolve practices together. WHAT?
Through artistic production, professional gatherings, outreach and cross-disciplinary encounters, SIB cultivates spaces for exchange, experimentation and the ongoing development of dance practices.
Currently the Lab is part of a three-year artistic arc — Power (2025), Resilience (2026), Emotions (2027) — bringing the same international guest artists back each year to allow practices, relationships and ideas to deepen over time, rather than starting from scratch each year.
WHEN
SIB Dance Lab takes place annually, usually in June.
The 2026 edition, #Resilience, explored the relationship between Body, Mind, Spirit and Tech.
Throughout the year, SIB also initiates other artistic activities, encounters and collaborations. These take shape in response to emerging ideas, opportunities and connections, and are announced through our newsletter and social media.
HOW TO JOIN:
SIB Dance Lab is open to professional dance artists, with 50% of places reserved for artists based in Innlandet. The remaining places are open to applicants from across Norway and internationally.
Participation is by application through an open call. Application periods, deadlines and registration information will be announced ahead of each edition through SIB's communication channels.
